Tourmalinated Quartz, Freshwater Pearl, Sterling Silver
A double-strand pearl necklace centered on a step-cut tourmalinated quartz with needle-like inclusions, as if the setting is containing and calming a tempest. The needle motif on the box clasp echoes the stone’s patterns. Constructed through a combination of fabrication and CAD: the box clasp's tongue and trigger were fabricated to maintain proper spring tension, while the clasp housing, top plate, and the bezel setting were modeled in Rhino. Freshwater pearls were strung on silk cord with bullion.
