Scythe Ring
Garnet, Sterling Silver
This solitaire ring, which features a cushion-cut garnet, was constructed through a combination of fabrication and CAD. The ring shank was forged from square silver wire and the ring head was modeled in Rhino. The design combines a cathedral setting with a crossover shank style. The four-prong head was soldered to the shank and the prongs were filed into claws after the garnet was set.
Process
